After telling more people what I was doing I got pretty worried about my concept. It seems that unless you have read 1984, my project makes no sense. Everything is fictional and I find it very difficult to explain things!
I found John and asked his opinion. He suggested I take my own spin on it instead of doing what is expected... this really lets me play around with juxtaposition which is a method I want to explore. He thought it was a good idea and that I should go with it. He also suggested I start by copying a paragraph of the book as an introduction to my work, this really helps me to communicate the brief to people who have not read the book.
I feel alot more confident in my concept and brief as a whole now!
